Chemical
Engineering Technician
Responsibilities:
- This is a non-exempt
position working within a dynamic team supervised by senior technical
staff. His/her job function is to conduct experiments that involve basic
but a variety of chemistry and chemical engineering skills.
- Daily responsibilities
include processing battery materials, and preparing electrodes or electrolytes
based on standard operating procedures
- Independently carry
out routine experiments, and assist senior technical staff to design
and carry out advanced experiments
- Routinely maintain
work area for safety, environmental soundness and productivity
- Follows rigorous
documentation practice and record all designs, experiments, results
in notebooks
Qualifications:
- B.S.
degree preferred; chemistry or chemical engineering major
- 3+ year experience
in chemistry laboratory work
- Experienced with
operating and working with glove box or dry room.
- Possesses broad
chemistry knowledge and a
variety of lab skills.
- Possesses good work
ethics and excellent problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability
to work effectively and collaboratively in a team
